What a fun evening for parents, children and teachers to learn about the upcoming school year and the successes of our children. The ENL teachers met with the HHH families to discuss CR Part 154 and the use of technology in the district. If you missed out, there is always next year!
ENL Family Night: March, 2016
The Department of English as a New Language hosted a Family Night on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Vanderbilt Elementary School. Families came together to sample authentic cultural dishes that represented the diversity of our English Language Learners. Children and adults got to participate in a variety of crafts, which was fun and educational at the same time! At our craft tables children colored in flags, painted tortillas, created a paper Chinese New Year dog. ENL students engaged in musical chairs and pin the tail on the biblioburro. The night was truly a success and a big thank you for all those who attended!
