What is Relay For Life?
It is difficult to be a resident of Long Island and not be aware of the alarming cancer rates that affect us all on a deeply personal level. The Half Hollow Hills community will be participating in the American Cancer Society event called Relay For Life on Sunday, June 5, 2011.
Community members can be involved in a variety of levels: become a team captain or team member, solicit donors to sponsor your walk, and/or sell luminaria to family and friends.
As a community, we have raised over $700,000 during the past four years. This demonstrates that we are a community who is committed to fighting cancer. This could not have been done without your help. We are hoping that you will once again embrace this event.
For further information about Half Hollow Hill’s Relay for Life, or if you would be interested in participating in a planning committee for this very special event, please contact your 2011 Relay for Life Chairs: Annemarie Gallipoli
