Swine Flu H1N1 Information

The District will be updating our website with any information that develops concerning the H1N1 virus and archiving it here.

What can you do to protect yourself from getting sick?

There are everyday actions that can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses like influenza. Take these steps to protect your health:
  1. Avoid close contact (within 6 feet) with sick people as much as possible.
  2. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are also effective.
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
  4. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue if you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it and wash your hands or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
